Position Summary
The Project Coordinator (PC) is the highest possible position within a commercial restoration. This position will have signature authority for the Franchise and be authorized to commit the business to fulfill any agreements made with the customer/client during negotiations. The PC evaluates how much of the resources (labor, equipment, and finances) the business is willing to commit to a particular commercial project.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists with Priority Responding to procure large commercial projects. 
  • Pursues potential networking leads by contacting individuals within the facility where relationships currently exist, insurance, and broker level. Helps conduct reconnaissance and reach out to established network connections.
  • Travels on-site, when available, to review the magnitude of the loss and to bring additional assurance to the customer. 
  • Assigns the appropriate Project Managers (Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, and Assistant Project Manager) based on his or her experience and the needs of the project. This can include occupancy type, structure and mechanical type, service type, personnel management, volume of laborers, and customer needs (level of hand holding).   
  • Considers the amount of management and supervision available in-house. Reaches out to outside resources to support the supervision and project requirements. 
  • Reviews and approves the organizational chart developed by the Project Manager (PM) during the project planning stage.
  • Reviews and approves the scope of work and evaluates the franchises’ financial capacity (verifying that they have the means to fund the project).
  • Establishes the needed draw schedule and ensures that the established draw is negotiated during the signing of the contract with the customer.
  • Ensures that proper insurance coverages and any required contracting or regulatory permits and licensing (e.g., lead, asbestos) are in place. This may result in bringing other SERVPRO® franchises or subcontractors on to the project that have the proper licensing.
  • Communicates or ensures communication with the adjusters, consultants SERVPRO® Commercial Large Loss Division (CLLD), and any other materially interested parties daily.
  • Reviews and approves all final invoice and documentation before submission. Assists with insurance company audit, collections, and negotiations as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison, listening to and addressing customer concerns, as needed.   
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully fulfill the major duties and responsibilities above. Some key requirements to fulfill the position may include, but not be limited to: 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work with other people. 
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with others, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner. Multi or Bi-lingual language skills are preferred but not required. 
  • Advanced problem-solving skills including proper handling of complex scheduling issues, demanding customer requests, and critical conflict resolution. 
  • Excellent presentation skills which may include detailed presentation/update of project progress and issues to customer/client, as well as communication all work activities to the Commercial Large Loss Division (CLLD). 
  • Detailed oriented with an emphasis on project supervision. 
  • Advanced organizational skills to ensure proper workforce utilization, documentation completion, and overall time management. 
Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced, high pressure work environment. 
  • Shift hours may vary depending on the size and scope of the project but will typically consist of eight (8) to ten (10) hour shifts. 
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time with approximately sixty percent (60%) of the time evaluating the progress of the site by conducting site walk throughs. 
  • Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary 
  
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
